For the second time in 2024, we are celebrating the 10-year work anniversary of an integral member of #LOOCREW! We think it says something for our company culture when our team want to stay with us for the long run, and it makes us super happy too!

Jacek’s first day at LOOS FOR DOs was back in October 2014, and on his 10-year work anniversary, he is a Senior Engineer. Jacek is most often found delivering our luxury loos to site. He’s an expert at their set up and diagnosing any issues that might crop up.

Over the quieter winter months, Jacek works on the care and upkeep of our existing units, as well as contributing to the build of brand-new ones!

Jacek is such a star, he is often requested by name to help at events, such as Victorious Festival this past summer.

Jacek and co for his 10 year work anniversary

We asked Jacek to answer 10 questions for the 10 years he’s been a member of team #LOOCREW!

1) Can you summarise your role at LOOS FOR DOs as a ‘Senior Engineer’?

“In my position I overcome many different challenges and tasks on a daily basis. I am always ready to take on anything that is given to me.”

2) How would you describe working for LOOS FOR DOs?

“It is a very good company to work for, they are very supportive and look after me very well. I am happy with my position as I love my job.”

3) What would you say is the biggest difference between LOOS FOR DOs when you started and now?

“The main difference between now and when I first started has been the staff welfare and how LOOS FOR DOs treat their employees, even though 10 years ago it was still amazing they have kept improving on how they treat their staff and now excel in this aspect.”

4) What is your biggest professional achievement/accomplishment at the company?

“It is hard to mention one thing, however it always feels like an achievement when a customer tells us that they are happy with our work. This then motivates me to work harder and to be better.”

5) Best loo memory?

“My favourite memories are when LOOS FOR DOs organise staff parties and events all year round.”

Jacek's 10 year work anniversary party

6) Share something personal about yourself? Who is Jacek outside of the loo world?

“I am a dad and a husband. I enjoy being outdoors, walking and/or cycling. I recently joined the gym and it has become a big part of my life that I also enjoy.”

7) Where do you envision yourself in another 10 years?

“I hope that I will be able to continue doing what I am doing at the moment and that I can stay in my job role that I love so much.”

8) Any advice for someone just starting their career in the events industry?

“My advice is that every day is different, so be prepared to never be doing the same thing every day (this means you won’t have time to get bored!)”

9) Throughout the past 10 years, how has LOOS FOR DOs supported your professional development?

“They have always offered more training and courses for me to do if I choose, to help increase my knowledge.”

10) What do you think makes LOOS FOR DOs stand out in the events market?

“LOOS FOR DOs encourage their staff to be as kind and helpful as possible at any job that they do. LOOS FOR DOs focus more on their customers than on getting more business meaning they always give their customers the best service possible.”

Jacek is an essential part of the team. His meticulous attention to detail, expertise, and passion for all things LOOS FOR DOs are truly invaluable.

Congratulations Jacek!

Victorious Festival is a big part of our summer at LOOS FOR DOs!

Read on to see why…

This August Bank Holiday Weekend saw around 80,000 festival goers on Southsea Common for this family friendly event. A large festival like this meant lots of loos, and so our team were delivering to the Victorious site for the whole week prior.

LOOS FOR DOs were to be found in the VIP section of the festival with a collection of our luxury trailers. These sorts of loos are perfect for this because they all come equipped with smartly styled cubicles, top quality finishes and those big vanity areas perfect for festival-ready touch-ups! These loos are designed to blend into the party atmosphere by standing out. Particularly our vibrant Mardi Gras loo, the palm leaf design just screamed ‘beach vibes’ all weekend long.

If you were lucky enough to camp and soak up the entire weekend festival, you probably stumbled upon our lovely loos at the Farlington Fields Campsite. LOOS FOR DOs brought in a lineup of individual plastic loos, urinals, and accessible facilities. These toilets are a camper’s dream, slashing those dreaded lines and leaving more time for all the important festivities instead.

Yep, festival bathrooms usually get a bad rap, but fear not! LOOS FOR DOs swooped in to keep the toilets at Victorious in sparkling condition. With a tight servicing plan and helpful #LOOCREW attendants, our loos were always in top-notch shape. So not a single festival goer had the horror of running out of loo roll!

LOOS FOR DOs have been rocking out at this epic seaside festival for almost a decade now, and we’ve loved supporting such a fantastic local festival. We’ve built up a great working relationship with the organisers over the years and the #LOOCREW is practically famous now, with festival co-ordinators even asking for them by name – talk about skills on point!

12th June 2024

This week, we are celebrating the 10-year work anniversary for a very important #LOOCREW member. As a company, we love knowing our team is happy to stick with us through the (sometimes crazy) summer seasons and keep helping LOOS FOR DOs deliver the great service we are known for.

Megan joined the team on the 12th June 2014 as a Sales Administrator. Since then, she has grown with LOOS FOR DOs and seen the company deliver to some great events such as London Marathon, Moonwalk and Victorious Festival.

Now, as the Sales & Logistics Manager, Megan knows the ins and outs of the company better than most. She works closely with the Directors to ensure that our loos are maximised to their potential.

You can also see Megan out on site. She loves getting to ‘escape’ the office and spend some time behind the wheel of a loo-wagon! She’s not afraid to jump into the action and we love her for that.

Celebrating a 10-Year Work Anniversary at LOOS FOR DOs

To give us a glimpse of her role, we asked Megan to answer 10 questions for the 10 years she’s seen LOOS FOR DOs grow!

1) Can you summarise your role here as Sales & Logistics manager?

“My role involves scheduling all our lovely loos, so they get delivered, serviced, and collected for all the events and building sites that we have hired. I also deal with the large-scale events that we supply to throughout the year. This is exciting because it is great to see an event from start to finish. From the initial contact and quote stage, right through to being out on-site, delivering. I also jump in if we need extra drivers on large events or busy weekends which is great fun being out onsite with the wider team.”

2) How would you describe working for LOOS FOR DOs?

“Wow, where do you start? We are so lucky here, and I am not just saying that! It is like being a part of a family, working with your friends every day and doing something that you love and are so passionate about. We have a wonderful team and it is always such a laugh when we all come together, whether this is on a team day or out onsite. We also have the most incredible Directors; they are so supportive in everything you do whether this be inside or outside of work. LOOS FOR DOs is such a wonderful, exciting, and fun place to work and I feel very privileged to be a part of it.”

3) What would you say is the biggest difference between LOOS FOR DOs then and now?

“It has got to be the offices and sites, we moved to a new yard back in September 2017. We used to have 5 sales team members working out of one small portacabin. Only having one yard to house all our trailers, plastic loos and team. It was challenging! We now have the luxury of two yards to help with the traffic flow of loos, keeping them separate. Also having a wonderful open-plan office with a separate meeting room, fantastic kitchen area and a gym.”

4) What is your biggest professional achievement/accomplishment at the company?

“I feel that my biggest achievement is learning the logistics side of the company and being a line manager to our wonderful Event Sales Manager, Holly. When I first started, I was the Sales Administrator, and dealt with the events inbox and phone, and had zero experience and no responsibilities and was just learning everything I could as I went along. When I came back from COVID-19 my role changed and I was dealing with the logistics side and the large events, and it all just naturally changed into this side which I love and very much enjoy.”

5) What motivates you to continue to be part of the #LOOCREW after all these years?

“We have such a wonderful team, which makes you never want to leave. Knowing you have the best people around you making the job fun, exciting and interesting. I feel the people are what make it so unique because we are one big family that want to help each other out. The office team are all close to each other outside of work as well. There is always room to grow and learn. I find it lovely to know you are supported in exploring the next adventure within the company.”

6) Best loo memory?

“This is difficult as there have been so many. It has probably got to be when I passed my trailer test in January 2018. Then I went on the road for the first time with a full load of loos.”

Celebrating a 10-Year Work Anniversary at LOOS FOR DOs

7) Where do you envision yourself in another 10 years?

“I hope to still be here and continue being a part of this amazing team. Looking to grow as a person and in my role and look to continue challenging myself with the next thing.”

8) Any advice for someone just starting their career in the events industry?

“I feel you have to be 100% in. It is not a 9am-5pm job, go home and relax and switch off. During the peak season, it is 7 days a week. Late evenings and hard work, it will become your way of life. If you fully embrace it, it is so worth it. You will learn so much and experience dealing with so many different people.

9) How has LOOS FOR DOs supported your professional development over the last decade?

“Nicky and Ed are so supportive in all that I do. Back to when I started when I was 17, with no experience coming into my first full-time job. They supported me by letting me take my trailer test. Progress into a more senior event sales role. Then take the lead with the logistics side of the business. They always want you to succeed and do everything in their power to get you to where you want to be.”

10) What do you think makes LOOS FOR DOs stand out in the events market?

“It has got to be the service. From the moment you call or email, to the collection of the units, our team always go above and beyond to help offer advice and support to our customers.”

The loo knowledge, passion, and sense of humour Megan brings to the company is invaluable.

Congratulations to this SUPERSTAR on such a milestone!

It’s Mental Health Awareness Month – which means #LOOCREW have been doing all we can to ensure our team are in the best possible mindset as we push forward into another busy summer events season.

The events industry has landed in the top 10 of most stressful jobs across the world in the last decade. Yes, it’s intense and high pressure – that’s part of why we love it! However, we also know how important it is to take care of ourselves, and our colleagues when the pressure gauge starts to spike!

LOOS FOR DOs are committed to ensuring our #LOOCREW are kept safe & healthy all year round.

We are fortunate enough to have:

  • A qualified Mental Health First Aider within our #LOOCREW to support anyone that needs it.
  • Health insurance, plus extra benefits and company schemes for overall health and wellbeing.
  • Regular 1-2-1 mentoring for skill development & coping mechanisms for work stress.
  • Time for hot chocolates, a 10-minute pilates break, or a catch up when needed.
  • Several places within LOO HQ that allow us to decompress, relax and boost that serotonin when needed, including access to a fully equipped onsite gym.
  • Company provided balanced breakfasts for monthly team meetings (we all know pastries are the key to a happy workday!)
  • Pre, during & post season get togethers for the whole team to catch up, try something new or get our dancing shoes on.
  • Office dogs, who are always happy to receive a quick cuddle or a walk in the countryside surrounding LOO HQ.

This month, #LOOCREW participated in Wear It Green Day on the 14th May.

LOOS FOR DOs provided a complex and logistically challenging service at Moonwalk London this weekend. Here’s how it went…

This is the second year running that #LOOCREW have supported Walk the Walk at this iconic night-time event, which raises vital funds in the fight against breast cancer. The event itself has been operating for 26 years and we could not be prouder to be part of this history making walk.

Moonwalk took place at Clapham Common on the 18th & 19th May 2024. LOOS FOR DOs were tasked with providing: 273 x Eco loos, 11 x Accessible loos and 1 x swanky 2+1 Luxury trailer for the VIP area. Due to the location of the event, the hired toilets could not be in situ for any longer than permitted.  With strict time limits like these, precision was key!

Installation for this event began a week prior at the start line. However, most of the toilets were only in position for as long as required. So, loos had to be dropped at each location, and the collections staggered as the walkers progressed on their route. This meant that LOOS FOR DOs worked overnight, from 22:00 Saturday 18th to 08:00 Sunday 19th May. #LOOCREW powered through together, with teamwork and dedication making the night shift a fun challenge instead!

An event like this involves a tonne of logistics planning; each vehicle, with its loos, are carefully designated and we must keep to strict install and de-rigg times to ensure there are no delays to the event. Shoutout to the legendary organisers who arm us with all the must-know details upfront: briefings, maps (super important!)  Plus, timings on when our team are required at each location and lay up areas for our team of loo warriors.

Walk the Walk want to make this event special for everyone participating and expect a high standard of service, which, is what LOOS FOR DOs is all about. We love being a part of this and helping them put on such a wonderful event for a phenomenal cause.

LOOS FOR DO’s have built up quite the reputation when it comes to these logistically challenging, multi drop events. In fact, we have served as the go-to portable toilet provider for major sports events across the Southeast UK for years, read more about why here.

With a tonne of loo knowledge, experience, and a team of experts, our part in the Moonwalk challenge was a complete success. We hope we can continue supporting this fabulous event for years to come.

Here’s what the organisers had to say:

“LOOS FOR DOs are a great, professional, helpful and happy team, that were a part of the Event Crew to deliver a successful MoonWalk London 2024 (and 2023!).
A pleasure to work with. Walk the Walk and myself look forward to working with them again soon!”

Ah, summer! A time for sun, sand, and… portable loos? Yes, you read that right. When the mercury rises, so does the demand for loo hire.

Now the warmer weather is here, you’ll see our #LOOCREW out and about all the more, delivering loos to all sorts of summer events. In fact, we have spent a (very) rainy winter perfecting the porcelain, shining the taps and polishing the mirrors in preparation of another stand out summer.

Summer events need portable loos! Outdoor events often take place in those locations where toilets are not easily accessible. In addition, more people means more loos required! That’s where LOOS FOR DOs comes in! We have been providing loos across Hampshire and Surrey for over 20 years. Additionally, with extensive Health and safety, including 10 million Public Liability Insurance, our loos are the first point of call for public events.

Our Luxury toilet trailers are hired for beautiful summer weddings, garden shows and private parties. The fun Mardi Gras style range is well suited for lush outdoor backdrops, and the Contemporary trailer is a stylish guest at any summertime soiree, blending convenience with style.

Clear skies are the perfect weather for all the wonderful local festivals, fetes and country shows we cover. In addition, our loos are frequent visitors to summer sporting events, airshows, car shows and motocross events. Extra loos are also often needed for school & university graduations too. Plus, those tasty food festivals, where we are often tempted to stop for a bite!

With our range of queue busting loo and urinals solutions, luxurious and modern trailers, and award-winning expertise, LOOS FOR DOs are here to supply loo hire for your next summer event!

30th April 2024

In October 2023, we learnt that one of our customers had lost her husband to Bowel Cancer.

We also learnt that Bowel Cancer is one of the most preventable cancers in the UK, and, if caught early enough, is often curable. Early diagnosis can save your life.

LOOS FOR DOs have never been shy talking about loos, and ultimately what loos are for. So, how can we highlight something so important, right at the heart of what we do?

This Bowel Cancer awareness month, LOOS FOR DOs launched a new campaign to highlight the facts about this disease.

Inside each of our portable plastic toilets, you’ll find a QR code that takes you direct to the NHS website for the symptoms of Bowel Cancer. This means our loo-fans can access this potentially lifesaving information easily, quickly, and just when you might be wondering what the signs are.

Our loos are part of sporting events with thousands of visitors, festivals for all ages, air shows, food festivals, community projects, educational & private events…and much more!

We broke it down and worked out that in one year, our Eco loos are hired out over 7500 times across Surrey & Hampshire. This means, that if each loo is used to capacity, these stickers could potentially be seen by over half a million people each year!

We hope that this helps deliver important info to many of our loo-fans this year. Just think, with each portable loo hire, we are sharing a message that could save a life!

All these toilets are delivered down a single-track road and they are accommodating to other moving traffic coming in and out of the park and nothing is a bother to any of them.
