Hi, my name is Rob Clifford and I’m the General Manager here at LOOS FOR DOs.

In this blog, I’m giving you a glimpse of everything that’s been going on recently – because when it comes to delivering top-notch events, a lot happens before the first guest arrives! 🎉

 

As the busy event season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening behind the scenes over the winter. While things may have seemed quiet on the surface, it’s been an exciting few months for our team. From growing our company family with two new arrivals, to adding new vehicles and expanding our hire fleet, we’ve been hard at work preparing for another successful year 💪

 

Celebrating Our Growing Team

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news from our team! Over the winter, two of our valued staff members celebrated exciting new additions to their families.

First; Fraser, our great yard man who keeps everything running smoothly, welcomed baby Brodie into the world.

A few months later; Tom, one of our fantastic engineers, added to his growing family with the arrival of his third son, Timothy.

Family has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re so happy to see our work family grow as well. Congratulations to Fraser and Tom. We couldn’t be happier for them!

Expanding Our Fleet

We’re also excited to announce that we’ve made some fantastic new additions to our fleet! Over the winter, we’ve added two new lovely delivery vans to help us stay efficient and ready for any event, no matter the size or location. These new vehicles will allow us to continue providing exceptional service with even more flexibility.

In addition, we’ve expanded our luxury offerings with two more of our super 2+1 contemporary toilet trailers. ✨ These trailers are perfect for events where comfort and style are key, providing guests with a high-end experience that’s always a hit.🌟 With these new additions, we’re more than ready to meet the growing demands of our clients and deliver the very best for their events.

From Clues to Lanes: a team-building day for LOOS FOR DOs

 

TEAM LOOCREW AT LOOS FOR DOS

 

Team #LOOCREW recently embarked on an epic adventure that combined brainpower, teamwork, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit (we’re looking at you Ed!) The day began with a twist: we were split into three teams and handed a series of cryptic questions designed to lead us to our final destination. The stakes were high, and the excitement was palpable as each team raced to solve the puzzles.

After a whirlwind of clues and a few “aha!” moments, we found ourselves at the Hollywood Bowl in Portsmouth. The LOOCREW arrived ready to conquer the lanes and indulge in some well-deserved fun together.

The afternoon was a blur of bowling balls, high-fives, and friendly banter. Each team brought their A-game, aiming for strikes and spares whilst cheering each other on. 🥇 The competition was fierce, but the camaraderie was even stronger.

In the end, it wasn’t just about who bowled the best game or who solved the most clues. It was about coming together as a team, enjoying each other’s company, and creating memories that will last long after the final pin has fallen 🎳

The LOOCREW proved that with teamwork, a bit of friendly competition, and a lot of laughter, any day can be a strike!

Brrrrr! ❄️ That was a chilly one!

 (And an early one for the #LOOCREW)

 

The London Winter Run celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary this year. This race is always one of our absolute faves, and here’s why…

 

The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run is a 10-kilometre dash through the heart of the city. With iconic landmarks and an electrifying vibe, this race kicks off our season in style.

Leaving LOO HQ way before the crack of dawn (3:30am on the 23rd of February), the #LOOCREW convoy heads to our start Line spot around Trafalgar Square. 🚐 We have to beat the road closures at 5am! ⏰

With a whopping 25,000 participants, LOOS FOR DOs supplies nearly 200 loos, all stocked with loo paper and hand sanitiser for those quick race pitstops, keeping queues short and everyone on the move 🚻🧻🧴

Our loos are only in position for as long as needed. So, our team hangs back while the runners do their thing (rumour has it that there’s always a cheeky traditional Winter Run brekkie while they wait!) By noon, the #LOOCREW is back on site, swiftly collecting all our kit before heading home. We stick to strict install and de-rig times to ensure no delays in reopening the roads. In fact, our loos were on their way back to HQ by 3pm, an hour ahead of schedule!

The London Winter Run is always our first big event of the year, a fantastic way to kick off the season. The #LOOCREW loves the atmosphere and the chance to work together, which can be rare during the busy summer season to follow!

 

It always helps to have fantastic organisers who provide all the info we need in advance and contacts at each location to ensure everything is just right. We hope to continue supporting this fabulous event for years to come!  🎉

When it comes to running a successful marathon, it’s not just about the miles—it’s about the smiles. And we know that nothing wipes that smile off faster than a lack of proper toilet facilities.

 

Farnborough Half Marathon, hosted by 209 Events, took place on the 9th of February 2025, at Farnborough Business Park.

 

This race attracts thousands of runners and spectators so it’s important that there enough loos in place to help ensure the days success. LOOS FOR DOs delivered a selection of single plastic Eco loos, accessible loos and urinals, ensuring that every runner’s pit stop was a pleasant one!

All loos are quality checked and deep cleaned before delivery to site, So, whether the runners were sprinting to the finish line or just making a quick dash, our facilities were there to keep them on track and in stride! 🏅

We also make sure that the placement of the loos is a top priority. It is important to consider where runners might need to stop, as well as keeping spectators well taken care of.
