First, an intro… 🥁 🥁 🥁

 

Maggie: Good morning, loo fans! 🌞 It’s another busy day at LOOS FOR DOs, and as the senior office dog, I have a very important job… sleeping! Yes, you heard that right. My main task is to find the coziest spot and nap the day away. Someone must keep the bed warm, after all.

Coco: While Maggie is busy with her snoozing duties, I’m ready to play! There’s so much to do and so many humans to entertain. I start my day by bringing my favourite toy to the office team. They’re working on all sorts of events, but I know they can’t resist a quick game of fetch.

Harley: With Maggie in dreamland and Coco bouncing around, I take my position by the office team. They’re busy processing bookings for weddings, festivals, and more. I keep a close eye on them, making sure they stay on task. Occasionally, I give them a nudge with my nose to remind them I’m here for moral support. But don’t be fooled by my serious demeanour – I’m always ready to challenge the team to a game of tug-of-war when they need a break! 💪🐕

Maggie: After a good nap 💤, I might stretch and move to a new spot. The drivers and yard staff are loading, cleaning, sorting, and repairing loos. I observe from a distance, making sure everything is in order before settling down for another snooze. Forklifts? No problem. I sleep right through them!

 

Coco: Mid-morning means snack-time! The team follow me to the kitchen for their coffee refills and the occasional biscuit. 🍪☕ It’s my job to check if anyone drops a crumb near the kettle. I give them my best “I’ve been starving for hours” eyes and usually this results in something tasty from the dog treat cupboard. It’s not just about the food (okay, it mostly is), but it’s also about the vibes as the team come together for a natter and a screen break. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I heard a wrapper crinkle…

Maggie: With our bellies full, it’s back to sleep for me. The office team is still working through bookings, and the yard crew is busy cleaning and loading for deliveries. Apparently the #LOOCREW drivers are all out and about, setting up for another week of events.

Coco: When the afternoon arrives, I return to my favourite humans for more playtime. It’s been a long day of all things loos, but I still have energy to burn. Sometimes, the #LOOCREW drivers come inside to play with me (and catch up with the logistics team before their afternoon deliveries).

Harley: Some days, there are office meetings, which we’re rarely invited to! 🙄 Maggie uses this opportunity to catch up on sleep, while I take my spot on the sofa. From here, I have the perfect view of all the comings and goings from my window into the loo yard. Nothing happens without my approval first! Today, I watched a delivery of new disposable stock being delivered – seems the busy summer is in full swing out there, everyone to and fro all the time!

 

Coco: Speaking of which, who’s up for another round of fetch? … We are very lucky to get to be able to hang out with the #LOOCREW all day. I’ve heard that not all puppers get to see their family all day like we do. Must be something to do with the office culture at LOOS FOR DOs. They know how to take care of people (and pups). 🐶❤️

Harley: Before we know it, it’s time to head home, but not before a mandatory afternoon zoomies session. Another successful day at LOO HQ, thanks to our diligent supervision and playtimes. We’ll be back tomorrow, ready to do it all over again.

Maggie: Until then, stay pawsitive and keep those tails wagging! 🐾 ✨

Endure24 is not your average race — it’s a 24-hour endurance challenge that pushes runners to their physical and mental limits. Set in the stunning grounds of Wasing Park, Reading.

We rolled in with a full fleet of facilities to keep runners smiling:

  • 9 x Luxury Loo Trailers – because ultra-athletes deserve a bit of glamour.
  • 136 x Eco Loos – getting lots of bums on seats
  • 3 x 6-Man Urinals – for high-volume queue destroying
  • 1 x Accessible Unit – because inclusivity is always a priority.

Our #LOOCREW attendants were on-site throughout the event, keeping everything super tidy.

🧩 The Challenge

This was our first time supporting Endure24, and with any new event, there’s always a bit of mystery. Will the ground be level? Will the access routes be clear? Will someone try to run a lap in a unicorn onesie? (Answer: hopefully, yes.)

But thanks to our detailed planning, backup plans, and a team that thrives under pressure, we were ready for anything.

 

🌟 Highlight Moment

The standout for us? Working with the organisers – Threshold Sports. Their Event Manager was a logistical legend — organised, proactive, and genuinely lovely. From site maps to regular check-ins, they made sure we had everything we needed well in advance. We felt like part of their crew from day one!

 

Endure24 was a blast. We’re proud to have delivered a top-tier sanitation service and even prouder to have done it with such a fantastic team. Here’s to many more events with Threshold — and many more happy loo-goers!

We are thrilled to be celebrating a significant milestone for another member of #LOOCREW!

 

Rob marks his 10-year work anniversary at LOOS FOR DOs this week. His journey began back in 2015, when he joined as our Operations Manager. Since then, Rob’s exceptional skills and hard work have seen him promoted to Head of Operations, and most recently to General Manager. As GM, Rob oversees the everyday happenings at LOOS FOR DOs and ensures the whole team are happy! 👏👏

 

We asked Rob to answer 10 questions for the 10 years he’s been a member of team #LOOCREW!

 

Can you summarise your role here as General Manager?

As the General Manager I oversee the day-to-day operations as well as working alongside the directors, implementing short-term and long-term strategies, developing and maintaining budgets, providing solutions for any problems that arise and most importantly – keeping our customers and staff happy.

 

How would you describe working at LOOS FOR DOs?

Enjoyable. I genuinely love coming to work. Obviously, there’s days where it’s frustrating, depressing, manic and really annoying and that’s before it’s even 9am😅 but that’s the events world and by the next day, you’ve moved on and have a fantastic day. I’m very lucky to work with an incredible team of people and that alone makes my job so much easier.

 

What would you say is the biggest difference between LOOS FOR DOs when you began to now?

When I started it was go,go,go from start to finish, with long hours being the norm. We had lots and lots of staff, and most days could be best described as organised chaos. When the pandemic struck, the event world pretty much came to crashing to a halt and so did every company within that world. Not a great time for any business but it did give our directors the chance to take a breath and look closely at where we were at and where we were heading. This in turn led to a restructuring of the company with quality over quantity being at the forefront of that. We’re a much calmer business now with the focus very much on providing the best service and product we can.

 

What is your biggest professional achievement/accomplishment at the company?

Probably getting to my current position, having only got involved in the loo world by accident. I grew up and spent my entire working life in the construction industry. I moved to Portugal and when their economy crashed, a large amount of the building work stopped, so I came back to the UK, with the intention of staying a few months. An old friend of mine, who had started a loo company, asked me to help him out for a couple of weeks and the rest as they say, is history.

 

What motivates you to continue to be part of the #LOOCREW after all these years? 💪

The need to succeed. I’m always striving to do better, be better – personally and professionally.

 

Best loo memory?

It’s cheesy🧀 but meeting my partner, Megan. I had no idea starting work at LOOS FOR DOs would change my life romantically! We still work together every day and even talk to each other when we get home in the evening!

 

Any advice for someone just starting their career in the events industry?

Be prepared for hard work! It’s long unsociable hours, and often 7 days a week. But you get to see and experience some amazing things, meet incredible people, travel to fantastic places and all on four hours of sleep and endless cups of coffee. ☕☕☕

 

Throughout the past 10 years, how has LOOS FOR DOs supported your professional development?

Ed and Nicky (our Directors) are two of the most amazing people I have ever met! Their warmth and kindness since day one has been incredible, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen either of them lose their temper at anything in ten years. Lots of people say their businesses are like a happy family but LOOS FOR DOs truly is. Every single staff member is treated exactly the same and time is made for everyone. As I started to move up in the company, I had doubts about my own abilities, especially as more and more of my workload became computer and systems based, but Nicky and Ed assured me I could do it and spent many, many hours supporting me and answering all of my questions (even the stupid ones!) and not once did they lose their patience. I’ve learnt, and am still learning, from them both every day. Truly inspirational people.

 

What do you think makes LOOS FOR DOs stand out in the events market?

Our products and the staff’s commitment to our customers. We really do try to give the best loo experience we can, from the first phone call to collection, we want to make things as easy and pleasant as possible. Our luxury trailers are fantastic, our after sales service is second to none and our staff really do care. All you have to do is look at our Google reviews to see we’re customer focused, not profit focused. 🌟

 

How do you see LOOS FOR DOs evolving in the coming years?

I personally want to see us evolve our luxury unit range into two maybe three different styles, with the emphasis on style not fashion. We prefer to concentrate on smaller events, as everyone else seems to be very large event focused at the moment. That’s fine. We’ve been there, done that. In my experience, the bigger the event, the harder it is to control quality, which is something we are known for and very proud of. As a company, we will continue to give the best products at the best prices and try to make everyone feel part of our Loo family.

Hi, my name is Rob Clifford and I’m the General Manager here at LOOS FOR DOs.

In this blog, I’m giving you a glimpse of everything that’s been going on recently – because when it comes to delivering top-notch events, a lot happens before the first guest arrives! 🎉

 

As the busy event season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening behind the scenes over the winter. While things may have seemed quiet on the surface, it’s been an exciting few months for our team. Celebrating Our Growing Team

We’re thrilled to share some wonderful news from our team! Over the winter, two of our valued staff members celebrated exciting new additions to their families.

First; Fraser, our great yard man who keeps everything running smoothly, welcomed baby Brodie into the world.

A few months later; Tom, one of our fantastic engineers, added to his growing family with the arrival of his third son, Timothy.

Family has always been at the heart of what we do, and we’re so happy to see our work family grow as well. Congratulations to Fraser and Tom. We couldn’t be happier for them!

Expanding Our Fleet

We’re also excited to announce that we’ve made some fantastic new additions to our fleet! Over the winter, we’ve added two new lovely delivery vans to help us stay efficient and ready for any event, no matter the size or location. These new vehicles will allow us to continue providing exceptional service with even more flexibility.

In addition, we’ve expanded our luxury offerings with two more of our super 2+1 contemporary toilet trailers. ✨ These trailers are perfect for events where comfort and style are key, providing guests with a high-end experience that’s always a hit.🌟 With these new additions, we’re more than ready to meet the growing demands of our clients and deliver the very best for their events.

Looking Ahead

It’s been an exciting winter, and we are all so proud of all the growth and changes we’ve made. We can’t wait to see where the rest of the year takes us and are eager to get started with the busy event season ahead.

From Clues to Lanes: a team-building day for LOOS FOR DOs

 

TEAM LOOCREW AT LOOS FOR DOS

 

Team #LOOCREW recently embarked on an epic adventure that combined brainpower, teamwork, and a healthy dose of competitive spirit (we’re looking at you Ed!) The day began with a twist: we were split into three teams and handed a series of cryptic questions designed to lead us to our final destination. The stakes were high, and the excitement was palpable as each team raced to solve the puzzles.

After a whirlwind of clues and a few “aha!” moments, we found ourselves at the Hollywood Bowl in Portsmouth. The LOOCREW arrived ready to conquer the lanes and indulge in some well-deserved fun together.

The afternoon was a blur of bowling balls, high-fives, and friendly banter. Each team brought their A-game, aiming for strikes and spares whilst cheering each other on. 🥇 The competition was fierce, but the camaraderie was even stronger.

In the end, it wasn’t just about who bowled the best game or who solved the most clues. It was about coming together as a team, enjoying each other’s company, and creating memories that will last long after the final pin has fallen 🎳

The LOOCREW proved that with teamwork, a bit of friendly competition, and a lot of laughter, any day can be a strike!
