For the second time in 2024, we are celebrating the 10-year work anniversary of an integral member of #LOOCREW! We think it says something for our company culture when our team want to stay with us for the long run, and it makes us super happy too!
Jacek’s first day at LOOS FOR DOs was back in October 2014, and on his 10-year work anniversary, he is a Senior Engineer. Jacek is most often found delivering our luxury loos to site. He’s an expert at their set up and diagnosing any issues that might crop up.
Over the quieter winter months, Jacek works on the care and upkeep of our existing units, as well as contributing to the build of brand-new ones!
Jacek is such a star, he is often requested by name to help at events, such as Victorious Festival this past summer.
We asked Jacek to answer 10 questions for the 10 years he’s been a member of team #LOOCREW!
1) Can you summarise your role at LOOS FOR DOs as a ‘Senior Engineer’?
“In my position I overcome many different challenges and tasks on a daily basis. I am always ready to take on anything that is given to me.”
2) How would you describe working for LOOS FOR DOs?
“It is a very good company to work for, they are very supportive and look after me very well. I am happy with my position as I love my job.”
3) What would you say is the biggest difference between LOOS FOR DOs when you started and now?
“The main difference between now and when I first started has been the staff welfare and how LOOS FOR DOs treat their employees, even though 10 years ago it was still amazing they have kept improving on how they treat their staff and now excel in this aspect.”
4) What is your biggest professional achievement/accomplishment at the company?
“It is hard to mention one thing, however it always feels like an achievement when a customer tells us that they are happy with our work. This then motivates me to work harder and to be better.”
5) Best loo memory?
“My favourite memories are when LOOS FOR DOs organise staff parties and events all year round.”
6) Share something personal about yourself? Who is Jacek outside of the loo world?
“I am a dad and a husband. I enjoy being outdoors, walking and/or cycling. I recently joined the gym and it has become a big part of my life that I also enjoy.”
7) Where do you envision yourself in another 10 years?
“I hope that I will be able to continue doing what I am doing at the moment and that I can stay in my job role that I love so much.”
8) Any advice for someone just starting their career in the events industry?
“My advice is that every day is different, so be prepared to never be doing the same thing every day (this means you won’t have time to get bored!)”
9) Throughout the past 10 years, how has LOOS FOR DOs supported your professional development?
“They have always offered more training and courses for me to do if I choose, to help increase my knowledge.”
10) What do you think makes LOOS FOR DOs stand out in the events market?
“LOOS FOR DOs encourage their staff to be as kind and helpful as possible at any job that they do. LOOS FOR DOs focus more on their customers than on getting more business meaning they always give their customers the best service possible.”
