About Us

As a multi-award winning provider of event toilet and shower facilities across London and the South East, our aim from the moment we wake up in the morning is to bring some glamour to loo and shower hire. You can expect us to be professional, friendly, fun to work with and completely supportive of your event requirements, no matter what size your event is.

We are within easy access of London, the home counties, Midlands and South Coast from our base on the Surrey/Hampshire borders.

Our Team

Established in 2002, Loos For Do’s Limited is a multi-award winning event supplier specialising in portable loos, luxury toilet facilities and shower hire for events across London, the South East and Midlands.

Whilst our top priority is to ensure our customers receive a first-class product and service, we are also extremely aware of our impact on the environment and we are always working to reduce our carbon footprint.

Our Vehicles
All vehicles are Land Rover 4x4’s or vans which are under 5 years old (with 50% only 2 years old).
All vehicles and towable trailers are regularly maintained & serviced to maximise fuel efficiency.
Where possible, deliveries are co-ordinated so that vehicles leave our depot at full capacity to minimise inefficient trips.
All our Land Rovers are part of the Land Rover CO2 Offset Scheme, whereby the CO2 emissions of all new Land Rover vehicles sold in the UK are offset for the first 45,000 miles of use.

Our Consumables
We only use biodegradable formaldehyde-free chemicals that will not harm the environment & don’t have a strong smell.
We purchase recycled paper where possible and also recycle our waste paper.

Our Way of Working
To minimise our paper trail, we prefer to communicate with our customers via email and telephone.
We don’t have paper brochures, instead we have invested in our website which we hope is a comprehensive and engaging portal for downloading photography, imagery and certification. E-brochures with detailed product information and technical specifications are also available.

What is included in the price that I pay for toilet or shower hire at my event?

Our prices for hire always include the following: 

  • Delivery & collection based on weekdays during working hours
  • Set-up & full on-site testing of units in situ at the event
  • All consumables – loos are fully stocked with loo rolls, soaps, hand sanitisers, hand towels & chemicals
  • 24 hour customer telephone hotline, should you need to contact us urgently.
  • VAT is not included in the price quoted, unless specifically stated and is subject to the standard VAT rate on the date of the event - not at the time of booking.

How many portable toilets do I need to hire at my event?

  • This will vary according to the number of guests attending and the duration of your event. Please try our Loo Calculator to calculate how many loos you will need to hire.
  • For events exceeding 8 hours in duration or where more than 3 toilet units will be hired, please email us or call 0845 123 2901 where we will be happy to talk through and advise on your specific requirements.

When & how do I need to pay for toilet or shower hire?

  • If your event is less than two weeks away, the full balance needs to be paid in advance of delivery (unless we have agreed otherwise).
  • If your event is more than two weeks away, we require a 50% deposit to secure your booking or the full amount if the total is under £100. We will then send you an invoice prior to your event which needs to be settled in full the week prior to your event.
  • Deposits and invoices can be paid by debit or credit card over the phone (most major cards are accepted) or online via BACS.
  • Please note that if your event is cancelled within 30 days of the hire start date, then we are unable to refund your booking.

When will you deliver and collect?

  • We will contact you by email the week before your event to confirm the delivery date and time slot with you. Slots can only be guaranteed by clicking on the link on the email. In the event that we do not receive confirmation, your slot may be subject to change and will not be guaranteed for a set day/time.
  • For a weekend event we usually deliver on a wed/thur/fri and collect on the sun/mon/tue afterwards. Evening and weekend transport options are available at extra cost. Please contact us for prices.

Where should the unit(s) be positioned?

We will always try our best to position the loos and showers wherever you would like them to go, but there are some guidelines that you should consider in advance of delivery:

  • The single most important consideration is to ensure you have adequate space for a medium size van or 4x4 vehicle with trailer to deliver the unit(s). As a rough guide, please allow 9ft width and 12ft height clearance at the site location. You will find the dimensions for each type of unit on the product pages of this website. Additional space needs to be allowed for manoeuvring, turning and getting in to trailer unit(s). 
  • Equipment should be placed on flat, firm ground (ideally gravel, tarmac, concrete or hard-standing), but can also be on grass as long as it’s not too wet!). We don’t want to damage lawns or driveways when man-handling units into their final position, so it’s always worth having a ‘Plan B’ for where to site the units as unfortunately we cannot be liable for any accidental damage caused on site. 
  • Single toilet units need to be placed within 30ft/10m of our vehicle to allow them to be emptied upon collection. 
  • Please note that a 1 hour maximum time slot is allocated for delivery and collection and if our drivers are delayed whilst on site, then you will unfortunately be charged for additional time spent on site. This also has a knock-on effect on all our other customers so your co-operation and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Can I move the unit(s) once set up?

Please ensure you are happy with the final location of the unit(s) during delivery, as for health and safety reasons our equipment cannot be moved unless under the supervision of a LOOS FOR DOs employee.

Do I need to provide water,drainage and electricity?

  • All of our chemical toilets are self-contained and don’t require access to fresh water or mains sewers. We are also able to mains-connect all of the luxury trailer toilets.
  • All mobile luxury trailer loos require access to a dedicated 240v/13amp power supply via mains electricity or a 5kva generator (available to rent). For the electricians amongst you, the luxury trailer units produce a max 12.8amp draw.
  • Plastic chemical toilets with mains lights require access to a standard 13amp electricity supply to power the mains light inside the units. Extension leads will always be supplied and tested during set up. We also always bring 13/16 amp connections to site.

What happens to the waste from the toilets?

You don't need to worry about this. Waste disposal at the end of an event is included in all our prices and all waste is securely transported off site and disposed of at Waste Treatment Centres in accordance with current Environment Agency Operators legislation.

Can the toilet be built into a marquee?

Absolutely. This is a particularly good idea during the winter. As all marquees are different, we would advise your marquee company/event manager to contact us to run through your requirements.

What can I do if there is a problem with the toilet or shower at my event?

All of our toilet and shower units are very new and well looked after which makes them extremely reliable, but for peace of mind we provide an emergency 24 hour hotline for our customers to call us on if there are any problems during the event. We will always try and solve any problems initially over the phone (sometimes it might be simply a case of forgetting to turn on the power!), and if that fails then we will send out a technician to quickly and discreetly remedy the problem. You are not charged for this service, however if our technician is called out without due cause then a call-out charge may be payable.

Are the toilets and showers insured?

LOOS FOR DOs is insured for Public & Employee Liability, however it is the Hirer’s responsibility to insure the unit(s) against loss or damage during the hire period. It is worth checking to see if you are covered by your household/event insurance policy. Alternatively, independent event insurance should be considered.
